Easter Parade at Huskisson.
Well ladies and gentlemen we had a fantastic day as outlined in the
opening page. It was well worth all the effort everyone put in to
dress the truck and dance a merry tune all the way around Huskisson...There
were hundreds of smiling and waving people and we put on a good show.
The ladies never stopped dancing the whole way and waving back at
the crowds.
The organisers judged us to be the"best
float on the day" and I can tell you no one made the
impact we did that's for sure.
Dean Porter drove the huge red truck and it dominated Husky main street
and the two huge cutout boots marched ahead for all to see.
We had a great response from the crowds and have some funny reports
back from friends who happened to be in the street and caught out
unmissable mobile dancing stage with country music blaring and all
the ladies bootskooting to the beat..."bootskootin boogie"
never sounded so good.
Easter
Parade in the park,
We did our demo in the park after the parade and we did 5 dances,
then the rain came down drenching all 15 dancers There was a few people
watching huddled under umbrellas and gazebos, braving the rain that
inevitably cancelled the rest of the attractions for the day.
Thank you to all the ladies that participated in the demonstration.
Thanks to everyone involved on the day,
And a special thanks to my nephew Simon and his wife Serenity from
the ' Sirenics" who kindly lent us the mobile sound system for
the day.
And
I almost forgot out cute little bunny mascot Alena she look fantastic
